NEt promoter

"Net Promoter" is the term used to describe respondents to the "ultimate question" which in our case is, "on a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to recommend the school?" From net promoter.com: "By asking one simple question- How likely is it that you would recommend (the school) to a friend or a colleague? - you can track these groups and get a clear measure of your school's performance through your stakeholder's eyes. Stakeholders respond on a 1-10 point rating scale and are categorized as follows:

  • Promoters (score 9-10) are "loyal enthusiasts who will keep buying and refer others, fueling growth."
  • Passives (score 7-8) are "satisfied but unenthusiastic customers who are vulnerable to competitive offerings."
  • Detractors (score 1-6) are "unhappy customers who can damage your brand through negative word-of-mouth."

The net promoter score is calculated by taking the percentage of respondents who are Promoters and subtracting the percentage who are Detractors.
